Letting illustration tell the individual hopes behind the fight for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. When words aren't enough, let art speak instead.

How To Participate

If you are an artist and you'd like a story to illustrate, e-mail me at: evan@picturefor1000voices.com
and I will connect you with another person's story.

If you are an artist and you have a story and illustration, please send me digital files as 300 dpi JPEGs. I may ask to use your work later in projects associated with A Picture For A Thousand Voices. (Also include a title if you have one in mind, if not, I'll attach one.)

There is no set deadline, but I will post submissions as I get them.

If you are NOT an artist, ask yourself or your LGBT friends what their hopes for equal rights are, and send them to me at: evan@picturefor1000voices.com and I will connect your story with an illustrator.
This includes non-gay members of the LGBT community!

There is no set deadline, but I will post submissions as I get them.

Often it is the smallest things that are the most important, and these are the things that go unnoticed. It could be anything from being able to be honest with your friends and family, to being able to hold hands on the street with a loved one, to wanting your parents to attend your wedding, to wanting to be able to visit your partner in a hospital. These are all things that are taken for granted, until they are taken away. With all the words and rhetoric constantly being thrown around, let art tell your story. Show what is important to you.
